Hello,my name is Nejra (Neyra), and I am a 27-year-old polyglot with an MA degree in English language and literature. While pursuing my degree, I had a chance to study abroad in Turkey for one year. This opportunity helped me understand that I would like to pursue my career as a teacher due to constantly being exposed to various teaching methodologies and practices and having a chance to try myself out as a teacher as well. I have wide experience teaching online and face-to-face. Although my teaching career began with teaching kindergarten-level students,I have expanded my knowledge and expertise in order to teach several different age groups and different types of students with various backgrounds, needs, and goals. I used to work at a local university within the department of English language and literature and English language teaching as a student assistant for two years. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to work for an English-language school based within the university for one year. My experience is based on teaching all levels of ESL within the age range of 6 to 65 years old. I mostly worked with Turkish and Arabic-speaking students. This enables me to understand students on another level and also gives me insight into what kind of struggles and mistakes we may come across in the class while successfully resolving them. I love to get feedback from students, and I value the importance of self assesment.In the preparation of the classes, I always take into consideration the student's profile,learning style, and desired outcomes in order to have productive and interesting classes. I like to provide adjusted materials based on our target learning points and topics that are attractive to each student individually. Furthermore, I also have experience teaching business English due to the fact that I taught face-to-face classes with one of the best airline companies in the world. My teaching policy is that each student is unique and should be provided with desired knowledge that is portioned out in meaningful parts,so no lesson is too challenging.
